Management

The AWS management team has extensive experience of offshore engineering and renewable energy projects both in the UK and overseas. Headed by Chief Executive Simon Grey, the teams are based in Inverness and supported by a small number of firms who provide specialist services such as legal and financial advice, engineering consultancy and PR & communications.

Simon Grey - Chief Executive

Simon is a chartered engineer with 28 years experience of power generation projects and business management of which 16 years have been in the renewables sector. He is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company.

Ben Yeats - Chief Technology Officer

Ben is a Chartered Engineer with a background in Naval Architecture and Marine Environmental Science. He has worked in wave power for 20 years and is responsible for leading the technology R&D programme and supporting the technical aspects of site development

Helen Morgan - Project Manager

Helen is a Chartered Engineer with 15 years experience of Engineering Project Management in the food industry. She joined AWS in 2007 and is part of the Management team working for Simon Grey.

Jude Monson - Commercial Manager

Jude has 6 years commercial and operational experience within the engineering/renewable energy industry. She joined AWS as Commercial Manager in 2009.

Fraser Johnson - Chief Engineer

Fraser is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Marine Scientist and a fellow of IMarEST with 12 years of experience in developing wave energy devices. He joined AWS in 2011 and is responsible for delivering the first of a kind AWS-III.
